How It Started

Rich Hudson, CEO of ReAgent and Chair of the ReAgent Foundation, used to dream of forming a corporate charity. At the time, ReAgent was much smaller and didn’t have the capacity to take on large charitable initiatives. The business would contribute to small employee sponsorships, but Rich wanted to do more.

“When ReAgent was a lot smaller, it was more challenging to run the business. It was a fight for survival, essentially,” says Rich Hudson. “I used to daydream about one day, the company being so well established that we could afford to actually start giving back.”

After a few decades of growth, Rich felt ReAgent was finally in a position to form a charitable arm. The ReAgent Foundation was established as a registered charity in 2025 and officially launched at the beginning of 2026.

The Types of Charities We Support

The ReAgent Foundation team thought hard about the causes it wanted to support. In doing so, they defined three pillars to focus on.

The first is the natural world. Environmental protection is critical to every living thing on the planet. By supporting conservation efforts, the ReAgent Foundation hopes to contribute to a cleaner, brighter future.

The second is wellbeing. Almost everyone is affected by serious illness in some way. The ReAgent Foundation lends a helping hand by supporting causes working to improve the lives of those suffering from life-altering illnesses.

The third is education. ReAgent employs a lot of people involved in science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM). The ReAgent Foundation encourages young people to pursue these fields by supporting causes that promote STEM education.

2026 Charity Partners

The ReAgent Foundation recently chose its 2026 charitable partners: MS-UK, the Science Museum, and the Snowdonia Society. Funded by ReAgent profits, the ReAgent Foundation will make a charitable donation to each partner.

But it’s not only about making donations – it’s about getting involved. ReAgent’s volunteer day programme allows employees to take paid time off work to share their expertise and skills with charitable partners.

The ReAgent Foundation also organises annual fundraising challenges. This year’s 24-hour Three Peaks Challenge gives employees the opportunity to raise money for the ReAgent Foundation while hiking some of the UK’s most beautiful landscapes.

Making a Lasting Impact

Rich feels strongly about the ReAgent Foundation’s ability to have a meaningful impact, now and in the long term.

“Long term, I hope the Foundation has an enormous impact. Like ReAgent, I honestly believe the sky’s the limit. I think the sky’s the limit for the Foundation as well,” says Rich.

As ReAgent grows as a business, the ReAgent Foundation will expand its reach.
