The ReAgent Foundation Conquers the Three Peaks Challenge

On 5-6 June, the ReAgent Foundation team completed the gruelling 24-Hour Three Peaks Challenge. As our first official fundraising event, this monumental journey tested our physical limits and brought our team together for an important cause.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we smashed our initial goal of £8,000, raising over £11,000 before our boots even touched the first mountain.

Highlights From the Three Peaks

After months of preparation, including our Snowdon training hike, the team was ready to take on the three highest peaks in Scotland, England, and Wales.

Ben Nevis

The challenge kicked off in Scotland at the highest peak in the UK. Standing at 4,413 feet, Ben Nevis has a relentless ascent. The team pushed through, covering 9.32 miles of rugged terrain.

We clocked an impressive time of 5 hours and 35 minutes, setting a strong, determined pace for the rest of the challenge.

After a long drive from Ben Nevis to the Lake District, we tackled England’s highest peak at night. At 3,209 feet, Scafell Pike is notoriously steep and rocky. Traversing the 5.17-mile route required intense focus and teamwork.

Exhausted but motivated, the team reached the summit and descended in 4 hours and 27 minutes.

The final obstacle was Snowdon in Wales, standing at 3,560 feet. Much of the team knew what to expect, having trained here a few months prior. However, fatigue was setting in. Propelled by willpower, encouragement, and more than a few squares of flapjack, the team completed the 7.10-mile hike.

We crossed the final finish line with a time of 4 hours and 32 minutes, capping off this rigorous challenge.

Hiking for a Bigger Impact

While there were plenty of laughs, camaraderie, and sore legs, the driving force behind every step was the causes the ReAgent Foundation is fighting for.

All money raised from this challenge will fund future charitable initiatives close to our hearts:

  • Protecting the environment
  • Promoting STEM education
  • Supporting those with life-altering illnesses

We’re overwhelmed by the donations and encouragement from those who believed in us. We couldn’t have done it without that support.
